Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. One of the projects she has participated in and has enjoyed the most success is the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena Marie Gomez, her full name is. Born on July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were the parents of Selena. Selena's mother was 16 years old at the time she was born. She got her first acting job as a showbiz actress at the age of 9 when she played Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. In this way she became one of the thousands of youngsters who've had the opportunity to interact with the anthropomorphic purple dinosaur, which is now well-known in the world of science fiction. Selena participated in several episodes in seasons 7 and 8. She worked between 2001-2003. Interesting fact: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends during that time too, also worked with Selena.
