Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, is a household name across the world. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects she was a part of and which has had the highest popularity, is her work. Her real name is Selena Marie Gomez. Selena Gomez, born Grand Prairie, Texas on July 22nd the 22nd of July, 1992. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. She was just 16 at the time Selena became a mother. When she was nine, she got her first job on stage after being cast in the role of Gianna on Barney and her Friends. She was one of the children who were the only human-like purple dinosaur ever created. Selena worked on several episodes from season 7 and 8 from 2001 between 2001 and 2003. Selena Gomez was not the sole singer to work in Barney & His Friends between 2001 and 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the team as well. After leaving the series Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles in other programs and movies, but she was not much success. She had a smaller role in Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003 and another in 2004 as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. She also was given the character in the role of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a tune.
